Role Overview

We are pleased to announce we are recruiting on behalf of a leading partner of the biopharmaceutical industry specialising in the design, manufacture and installation of complex, high-end laboratory equipment. Following a growth in sales, there is a higher demand on current engineers, and they are looking to recruit a field service engineer to join their team in Ireland.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Provide service and customer support during field visits or dispatches.
Manage all on site installation, repair, maintenance and test tasks.
Diagnose errors or technical problems quickly, determine and initiate best practice solutions.
Produce timely and detailed service reports.
Follow all filed procedures and protocols.
Cooperate with technical team and share information across the organisation.
Comprehend customer requirements and make appropriate recommendations/briefings.

Person Specification

Have successfully completed a technical education in electrical, electronics, mechatronics or comparable sector and have relevant professional experience in a field service or technical support role, ideally in the pharmaceutical, biological or chemical environment.
Experience with Laboratory weighing equipment, water purification systems, Centrifuges and other laboratory equipment would be ideal.
Ability to troubleshoot, test, repair, and service technical equipment with no supervision.
Ability to work flexibly and efficiently, able to adapt quickly to changing work schedules.
Familiarity with mobile tools and applications.
