Laboratory Applications Specialist

Laboratory Application Specialists play an integral role with Quality, Customer Care, Manufacturing and Engineering departments and contribute to product performance assessments and new product validations.

This role will include some UK and international travel in providing applications support to end-user customers, international Thermo colleagues and distribution partners

Person Profil

Skills Required

Ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of Immunohistochemistry and related applications

Broad experience of Histology/Cytology techniques including knowledge of staining, tissue processing, microtomy, coverslipping, including 'Good Laboratory Practice'
Excellent communication skills relative to customer interactions and ability to write concise and detailed technical/scientific reports.

Positive approach and interest in diverse range of tasks associated with the sciences of anatomical pathology.

Qualifications

BSC or appropriate Science degree and relevant experience
Computer literacy with comprehensive grasp of Microsoft Office and other applications

Knowledge of Thermo Scientific laboratory equipment would be an advantage although full training will be given to the successful candidate.
