Copy Editor

Role : Copy Editor / Proof Reader

Location: Central London

Reports to : Editorial Project Manager

Summary : Reviewing and editing of copy and layout materials in a timely manner while ensuring that all materials convey clear and accurate messages and are compliant with corporate policy.

Essential duties and responsibilities:

* Ensure editorial accuracy and style/format consistency across materials at various production stages (including hard copy, CD-ROMs, websites, etc.)
* Adhering to and maintaining in-house style guides for various clients.
* Proofreading against the approved copy to ensure correct grammar and spelling, absence of typographical errors, good typography, accuracy of content, and presence of correct trademarks, generic coverage and sign-off information.

Any other duties as required in order to undertake your role effectively.

Person Profil

Experience

1. A science degree and at least 2 years' of proofreading/copy editing experience.
2. Good attention to detail and knowledge of the English language.
3. General computer literacy required with specific knowledge of Microsoft Office (including both Word and PowerPoint).
