We're working with an exciting life science based company producing revolutionary imaging intrumentation technology! They're seeking a Scientific Sales Executive looking to utilise their technical expertise or sales skills to succeed in this role and help drive company growth

Role Overview

This role has a lot of remote working/hybrid flexibility with around 40% travel around the UK in your first year, branching out to European customer sites once you've been in the role for 12-18 months. You'll be working with their high end cell analysis system and selling to Academia and Research labs in the role across Europe (mainly UK)

There will be infrequent trips away meeting with cusotmers and clients, both domestic and European, providing a good balance to the remote/hybrid nature of this role.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

You will be working in the specialist area of B2B sales, selling their cell analysis system and working with their sales team. You'll be trained up to effectively use and sell their products which will allow you to perform this consultative sales role.

Person Specification

Essential:
MSc in Biology, Biochemistry or a related life science.
Highly motivated and independent self-starter.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Good attention to detail and time management.
Ability to travel up to 40% of the time (if you are successful, the rate could even be higher)
The main factors which distinguish successful scientific salespeople from regular sales professionals are: detailed product knowledge, understanding of the science behind the product, and the expertise to understand customer requirements.

Desirable:
PhD in Biology, Biochemistry or a related life science.
Prior experience in a customer-facing sales role.
Experience of a range of microscopy techniques during academic studies.

The right person must to be highly motivated to have a successful commercial career and be willing and prepared to make the transfer from the academic world into industry.

Willingness to travel: Between 30% - 50% (preferred)


Package

A strong package is on offer with:
Base salary £25,000 - £35,000 dependent on experience
Bonus scheme: Up to £10,000 per year
All travel expensed
