We have a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated Field Service Engineer that has arisen with a leading OEM in the healthcare and scientific industry due to a retirement in the team! They are looking for an Engineer based in Bedfordshire/Hertfordshire and the surrounding areas.

Role Overview

Your focus will be on providing excellent service to customers in the medical industry who hold our client in high regard.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

- Performing scheduled preventive services and validation tests according to the Industry Standards
- Perform the Installation Qualification (IQ), Operation Qualification (OQ) and Performance Qualification procedures to check everything is installed and working correctly
- Train the operators to use the machines correctly and train the hospital engineers to maintain the machines to a basic level
- Fix issues that arise on site or via the service administration team and order spare parts as necessary
- Submit relevant service reports on time
- Manage the customer relationships and act as the representative at the customer site

Person Specification

You will be a real 'team player', someone who is committed to going the extra mile when required and supporting your team. In addition, you will have a customer focused attitude, as well as excellent problem solving and communication skills.

- Full & valid UK driving licence.
- Solid mechanical experience, as well as City & Guilds Inspection and Testing or and equivalent electrical training (desirable with 18th edition)
- Experience in the healthcare sector would be desirable
- One or more valid certifications in the Testing of Sterilizers and Washer Disinfectors (WTM1, STM2, STM3) are an essential requirement
- Understanding of industry regulations and technical drawings/product design
- Flexibility around occasional non-standard hours and overnight stays
