Role Overview

Laboratory manager of our multidisciplinary diagnostic testing unit. Role involves working within a small team of managers to ensure smooth laboratory operation spanning a variety of responsibilties including staff management, sample management, results analysis and more!

Key Duties and Responsibilities

- Ensuring smooth laboratory operations.
- Staff Management and sample management.
- Analysing results from the lab and quality assurance.
- Maintaining inventory.
- Liaising with clients.
- Supervising IBMS candidate portfolios.
- Verfication of new tests/kit suppliers.

Person Specification

- Fully qualified BMS with HCPC registration.
- Minimum of three years proven experience working in a biochemistry-based diagnostic testing laboratory.
- Have in-depth knowledge of laboratory best practices.
- The ability to manage a team and enjoy nurturing team members so that they can develop and grow professionally.
- You are willing to learn new skills and work in a multidisciplinary environment.
- Able to work independently in a small team, be accountable and proactively take on and own your responsiblities.
- Strong communication and relationship building skills.
- Teamwork .
